Unit 4  Having  Fun    Topic1  How much is it?  Section A

设计理念

本节课从数字的读法入手,从而引出购物这一初中阶段非常重要的话题。通过巧设情景,让学生学习并掌握购物的相关表达法。

二、教材分析

本话题主要围绕询问、回答价格,谈论服装展开,内容由浅入深,层层递进。购物话题与学生的生活密切相关,实用性强,也比较有趣,相信学生也会乐于学习。

三、学情分析

1.本节课授课的对象是实验班的学生,他们较普通班的学生来说,学习态度较端正,英语底子也较好,学习习惯也不错,所以他们在课前预习的基础上再来上这节课,就学得轻松了。

2.由于学生课前有预习,对课文里的要点几乎都能心中有素,那么培养学生的创新精神也就是运用知识来解决问题就显得很重要。

四、教学目标

1.知识与技能

A.掌握1000以内的数字的读写。

B.学习并掌握购物的基本用语,并能够灵活运用。

C.能够对别人的感谢做出反应。

2.过程与方法

通过学习数字的读法,引出询问、回答价格,以及谈论服装,进一步用情景对话,让学生掌握购物这一重要话题。

3.情感、态度与价值观

养成预习的好习惯,培养学生的创新意识和不耻下问的精神。

五、重点、难点

1.重点:

  A1000以内数字的读写

B.购物的基本用语

  1What can I do for you ?

       = May I help you ?  / Can I help you ?

   (2 ) Can I try it on ?

   (3 ) How much …..?

2.难点:

让学生在有限的时间里以购物为话题进行表演。

Step 1  Warming up exercise  

Sing an English song----<<Ten little Indian boys>>.

Step 2   Review

1.       Review numbers the students have learned before .( from 0 to 20 )

2.       Present the sentences with numbers. For example :

I have a pen. It’s very nice . It’s only twenty yuan . Oh ,no . It’s twenty- one  yuan .

3.  Read  the new words and expressions in this section together.

Step 3   Presentation and practice

1.       Listen to the tape 2a and ask the Ss to read after the tape.

2.       Listen and read after the tape 2b. Pay attention to the pronunciation and the stress.

3.  Ask the Ss to look at 2a and 2b,then find out the rules .

4.  Write out the numbers.

Step 5   Presentation

1.       Ok. Now we are going to learn a new topic .It’s about shopping.

2.       Look at the pictures . Introduce the main meaning of the pictures.

3.       Listen to the tape 1a and answer the following questions.

(1)    Where are they?

(2)    What do they want to buy?

(3)    What color is Maria’s new dress?

(4)    How much is the dress ?

Step 6   Consolidation

1.       Listen to 1a again.  Read after the tape sentence by sentence .

2.       Read 1a together.

3.       Let the Ss find out the main points. The teacher can give additional explanation.

(1)    What can I do for you?

=May / Can I help you?

(2)    Can I try it on?

(3) How much is it?

(4)Thanks a lot .

   Not at all .

(5)    We’ll take it .

  =We’ll buy it .

2.       Finish 1b and check the answers.

Step 7    Practice

1.       Listen to 2C ,  match the clothes with the prices and then check the answers.

2.       Read the sentences together.

3.       Work in pairs. Suppose a student wants to buy something . Make a dialog with your partner.

4.       Ask some pairs to act it out.

Step 8   Reading exercises.

1.       Do exercises in Reading Books.

2.       Check the answers.

Homework

1.       Recite 1a

2.       Finish  exercises in Section A  (同步)

3.       Preview Section B , 1 and 2 .
